Hood Park Spring Fest! May 13, 2023

Spring Fest @ Hood Park was a time for fun and to celebrate the spring season with local vendors and the Charlestown Community! May 13th was Hood Park’s inaugural Spring Fest and we saw a great turnout of about 500 attendees from the surrounding community. The day hosted delicious treats and sweets from local Food Trucks, Bon Me and Naco Taco, as well featuring local restaurant ,and Hood Park tenant, Tradesman, who provided delicious brunch pastries, sweets, eats and specialized beverages for attendees. To beat the heat, Richie’s Slush hosted by Richie himself, served families their famous Italian Ices.

Spring Fest featured many local vendors, including non-profit organizations YMCA Charlestown and Pomi, who provided information on family resources in the Charlestown area. Being so bike friendly, Spring Fest was a great opportunity for the community to ride their bikes to the event. Landry’s Bicycles catered to the many cyclists in the area and had their repair truck out, providing free bike checkups and an e-bike demo ride around Hood Park. The Handle Bar Studio team chatted with attendees and gave tours of their spin studio conveniently located onsite.

Families were able to enjoy epic balloon sculptures from Jonah’s Twisters and beautiful one of-a-kind face-painting deigns from Fantasy Face Painters. Children and adults alike played with baby animals from Enchanted Animal Farm, and were able to take a runaround our large dog park with their four-legged friends. Additionally, Boston Veterinary Clinic hosted the grand-opening of their brand-new Hood Park location offering specialized pet portraits, giveaways, and tours of their state-of-the-art clinic. Looking forward to a busy summer of fun at Hood Park!
