BACK TO ALL ARTISTS Massiel Grullón
Boston-based Dominican artist, Massiel Grullon, was raised in an environment brimming with creativity. Raised by her late mother, Gladys Grullon, an artist/dancer, her Afro-Latin dance studio that surrounded the family home fostered Massiel’s artistic roots running deep. As an alumna of Boston Arts Academy and Artist For Humanity, Massiel’s artistic journey began at a young age. Her active involvement in the arts and collaborative murals within the Boston art community further shaped her artistic identity. Drawing inspiration from retro aesthetics, Massiel’s work explores a wide range of mediums, including oil, acrylic, interior/exterior paint, and digital platforms. Her fascination with mid-century and space-age architecture, as well as interior furniture design, finds expression in her art, creating a distinct style that reflects these influences.
