Hood Park Earth Day Celebration//php $catname; ?>
April 19th Hood Park celebrated Earth Day on our 500 Rutherford plaza!
During Earth Month, Hood Park reinvigorated our commitment to sustainability! Encouraging e-cycling by placing waste bins around our campus for our tenants to use for office and personal e-recycling. Transaction TMA hosted an Earth Month Challenge encouraging Hood Park tenants to join in the fun and log different sustainability practices during the month. Our Wednesday event featured different vendors and retailers at Hood Park. Landry’s Bicycles held an open bike check-up, tenants took advantage of Landry’s expertise and got their bikes tuned up onsite. Green City Growers were on site to talk with tenants about the green box-planters we have on campus and also help them plant compostable take-home pots of fresh herbs. Lower Mystic and Transaction hosted tables giving tenants info on alternative commuting options, as well as info on our free Hood Park Shuttle program. Tenants were also able to fill up their reusable bottles with the Good Filling machine, which produces high quality, clean, home products, as well as try the brand new cold brew station that helps to cut out single-use paper coffee cups. The Hood Park community also met with The Handle Bar Cycling studio, a retailer at the site and learned about different classes and health initiatives available at Hood Park.
